IDK that I've ever put it in one post before, but here's the transplant speedrun.
1 - Valentines day 2021, he's admitted to the hospital. We take a pre-hospital selfie then I shave his head and he shaves his beard because he doesn't want to deal with hair at the hospital. Me and his mom drop him off; at that point you can only visit someone as they are actually dying and we're told that he's going to stay in the hospital until he gets a transplant or he dies, and if he's rejected as a transplant recipient he'll receive palliative care in this hospital.
2 - First week of March, they allow patients to have one screened visitor; this is our first visit - I take photos in the hospital to show his mom because at this point he has a pump in his shoulder and it is difficult for him to move his arms to use his phone. He has also been confined to a bed since the week he arrived because he's on the ECMO machine, so he can't walk or move around, though they stand him up every once in a while. At one point one of the ecmo tubes pulls out of his femoral artery, which is Not! Great! He also needed a blood transfusion about every two days at that point, which worried the doctors because it increased his likelihood of rejecting. But he had been approved for transplant at that point!
The first thing he said to me on this visit was "look, I have abs" and then he showed me his abs because it turns out when you're really really dying of heart failure your body begins to eat itself.
3 - Now That's What I Call Jaundice (cardiac cirrhosis is liver failure as a result of heart failure and it's pretty much the big giant neon flashing sign of heart failure that says "hey you're fucking dying" so if you've got heart failure and your bilirubin number is off or the whites of your eyes are yellow please kick up a gigantic stink until they check your liver; large bastard's GP, who is my doctor, who I hate, saw his bloodwork with a very high bilirubin number a month before he was diagnosed with cardiac cirrhosis and wrote it off as a testing fluke fuck that guy)
4 - Don't let the sad face fool you, he's acting pathetic so that his mom will stop yelling about the fact that I'm bringing him cookies. He's allowed to have cookies. At that point he weighed 98kg and was outsourcing his heartbeat, he was allowed to eat whatever he wanted. (have i mentioned that I was moving us from Vegas to LA at this time? I was bringing him cookies because I'd baked hundreds of peanut butter cookies and other cookies to use up the flour, sugar, and peanut butter in the vegas house)
5 - Mid-march, he's got a match! He called me when I was in Vegas filling up the truck with another load and I drove right back and to the hospital. Once he went in for surgery I drove to his mom's house and crashed, then woke up and drove to our storage unit and unpacked the truck while I waited to hear from the doctors. I was unloading a bookcase when I got the call. (There wasn't any point in waiting alone in the hospital for sixteen hours; either he was going to make it or he wasn't and someone was going to have to unload the truck at some point. People have been weird about this, like I should have been sitting at his side all the time, but there was a two-hour daily limit for most visits and look i have sat in a waiting room while this dude had a thirteen hour surgery i do not need a repeat of that experience without the soothing balm of nicotine getting me through it; so unloading a truck it was)
6 - Two days after surgery and kind of mad about it. His chest hurt a lot (obviously) but, like, a lot a lot because they'd had to open him up for the bypass just two years earlier.
7 - First walk outside of his room after transplant in early April; he needed a LOT of PT because of how much muscle he'd lost. He lost sixty pounds in the hospital before the surgery, and only gained back about twenty while he was in there.
8 - A visit from the tiny doggo
9 - I come to visit and I've got a new phone with a portrait mode so he steals it and takes stupid pictures for a few minutes. Dude is bored and restless; this is in late april and he's feeling well enough to be moody. ETA: There is a jar of pickles in front of him because he'd been fluid limited for a long time and his salt levels were off and when he got to the hospital they were like "you need electrolytes and a lot of salt" and he was like "sweetheart can you please please please bring me delicious salty things" so I was bringing him jars of pickled mushrooms and garlic stuffed olives and just a huge number of pickles that he kept trying to share with the nurses. "Alli brought the mushrooms again; would you like a pickled mushroom? I have fancy toothpicks to share them with!"
10 - He comes home for the first time in early May; he ends up getting readmitted two more times because of complications before finally being released in early July. ETA: The second time he got readmitted it was for something that he wasn't at all worried about but that they needed to monitor for a couple weeks so he was *SO BORED* and actually feeling pretty okay; so at one point when I was leaving the parking garage at 8pm my car wouldn't start, I did some troubleshooting with the manual and the internet and didn't figure it out, so I called him and he tried to troubleshoot over the phone and got frustrated and was begging his nurses to let him come out to the parking structure to work on my car (they refused) - I ended up getting a tow and fixing it when I replaced the battery terminals.
Photos are all posted with his permission.
Also I dyed my hair purple between photos one and two because it's his favorite color. I also bought a blue dress, red tights, and yellow shoes to wear to visit him because he always teases me for wearing so much black.
I just love him a lot. It was a hard couple years there, but things are getting better.

Tkachuk to be full participant at start of Panthers training camp
Forward ‘feeling great’ after fracturing sternum during Stanley Cup Final
LAS VEGAS -- Matthew Tkachuk will be a full participant when the Florida Panthers begin training camp Sept. 21.
The forward said at the NHL North American Player Media Tour on Tuesday during an interview for a future episode of the "NHL @TheRink" podcast that he is healthy more than three months after sustaining a fractured sternum in the first period of Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights on June 8.
"I am feeling great," Tkachuk said. "It's been a very short summer, the way I want it to be every year going forward. The worst timing for the injury, obviously, Stanley Cup Final, but in a weird way I had time after where I wasn't missing X amount of months of game action, so I had the summer to get ready. I definitely improved on some things. The injury allowed me to work on some parts of fitness and conditioning and that is in the best form right now possible, and I just improved on some strength, which was my goal."
Tkachuk returned in the third period of Game 3 and scored the tying goal with 2:13 remaining. The Panthers won 3-2 in overtime.
He said he was given permission by team doctors to play through the pain in Game 4. He skated 16:40 and had four shots on goal in a 3-2 loss that put Florida down 3-1 in the best-of-7 series. Tkachuk did not play Game 5, which Vegas won 9-3 to win the Stanley Cup.
"I think I realized I was in the most pain when we won that Game 3," Tkachuk said. "I missed a big portion of it, came back and we won it in overtime. After the game, I'm walking around and normally you have the high spirits after a win, especially in the playoffs. It doesn't matter what you're going through, you're on top of the world. And I was pumped, but I still knew that half of my body felt like it was [in pain]. I knew something wasn't right.
“I didn't know what it was at the time. We did all my tests the next day, then I came back and basically with doctor's orders was given the opportunity to do everything I could to play just one game. [I] did it. I would have done it all over again if I had the chance."
Tkachuk said he wasn't worried about long-term effects of the break in his sternum, knowing that would heal, but there were some internal issues that that led to some scary moments.
"I'll try to keep it short, but there's all the blood vessels and stuff and that was the scary part at the time and that was the most concerning part in my health at the time," Tkachuk said. "But right now, it's good."
He was able to play Game 4 despite not even being able to get out of bed without assistance from his brother, Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk.
"I'm not going to lie, that was the craziest thing I've ever kind of been a part of," Brady said Tuesday, also for a future episode of the "NHL @TheRink" podcast. "I just flew in for the game because I wanted to see a Stanley Cup Final game and he came back from the rink in the morning and just looked awful. He was like, 'I’ve got to go take a nap.' And then he calls me at 3:30 and I'm downstairs. He says, 'Can you come up here?' We were just mucking it up and then he's like, 'Alright, I need you to help me up.' I'm like, 'You're joking.' He's like, 'No, I legit can't get up. I just sneezed and I thought I died.'
“He was going through some serious pain and just to see him be able to find a way to just play in that game and have the mindset of treating this as my last game, do whatever it takes, try to get a win and put ourselves in a better position going into Game 5, I was so proud of him. The way he played, trying to work around it, not many people can do, especially at the pain level he was at."
Tkachuk finished last season tied for sixth in the NHL with 109 points (40 goals, 69 assists) in 79 games. He led the Panthers and was tied for third in the NHL in playoff scoring with 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) in 20 games.
Florida is not expected to have defensemen Aaron Ekblad and Brandon Montour on the ice for the start of training camp; each has been rehabbing from offseason shoulder surgery. Tkachuk said they may not be back until around Christmas.

i give you two options
a. the entire list of questions
or
b. 2, 5, 14, 20
Challenge MCFUCKING accepted
Questions at the end
1. 4 published, but technically I worked on The Shadow of the Wicked but didn't publish anything for it.
2. One shots!
3. Fallout lmaoo
4. 2, Skyrim and Fallout, 3 if you wanna get technical and say My Father's Name is FNV and Too Much has Fallen in Mine is Fo3
5. Butchicity.... Goober n Gore......
6. Butch DeLoria and Moira Brown
7. Yeah! Started writing for Fallout, and the new ships would be Moira and Lissy and Butch and Lissy but that technically hasn't actually come up in any writing yet. There's stuff I've been writing for it tho.... But for later.....
8. TMHFIM, it was really special to me because it was like... The first thing I was able to write after being really depressed for a long ass time. God bless antidepressants.
9. Ooh... Hard question. I was really happy to work on all of them, but I think Let me hold you until I soften your hands made me the happiest because it's just. Pure fluff.
10. One of the oneshots, I'm a whore for unfinished long fics nshdjejdbd
11. Uncanny Blood, mostly because I wanted to work on later parts a lot and had to figure out travel times and then had to write a whole extra chapter even though technically I had 2 chapters after it written, so currently the fic is at a standstill because I have to write chapter 3, even though I have 4 and 5 ready to go 😔😔😔
12. None of them lmaoo. My Father's Name, probably. I know the beginning of New Vegas pretty well.
13. Shortest: My Father's Name, Longest: TMHFIM
14. Depends on when in the year I was? I've got a couple character playlists n stuff sorry for the terrible answer lmao djsjjzbd
15. TMHFIM, I was stuck between several titles, but I'm using at least one of them for a later chapter, so all is well.
16. Let me hold you until I soften your hands. Makes me emotional
17. "Evenings by the fire were always their favorite part of the evening." Or "Her father had been… distant lately." I feel like both of those set up the tone of the story pretty well. And I giggle at the sentence mistake in the first
18. Well. I've only got two of those. But it's " “I think I'd like that, blood.” " which makes more sense in context. I'm gonna go cry about it now.
19. Eheheheh my favorite part. I have 2
“Hey,” Amkar said lightly. “Even if there's no real information here, at least it's very pretty to look at. Those Nords sure were on to something…”
“Weird to hear that from a Thalmor soldier,” she pointed out, pulling out her journal and beginning to sketch the crarvings.
“Just because I'm a racist doesn't mean I can't enjoy art,” he said.
She took a long pause trying to figure out if he was being serious or not. “Are you joking?”
And
“Hey!” a voice shouted from above.
She looked up, shading her eyes with her good arm. “Hi?”
“Are you a raider?” the voice called down.
“What's a raider?” Felicity asked, flabbergasted.
“Sherrif! You should get over here, there's some weird girl covered in blood at the gate!”
20.
“Oh? Family? You're not some deranged lunatic who spawned into Tamriel with a poor haircut and a strangely lovely taste in music?” Caryalind had pushed himself up onto his elbows to look at her.
21. I don't think so...? I think what surprised me most is how terribly Bethesda's characters in Skyrim are developed, I guess? At least for the minor ones and the general factions. Too many bandits. So I gave them personalities.
22. Google docs 😔
23. Felicity punching Moriarty, no question about it.
24. Nope
25. I didn't, I guess? Just... Fell into a writer's block and then came back months later.
26. Looooots of fanart, my azure arted tag has almost all of it.
27. None in the fanfic world, but I had 2 art trades this year and that was fun! I'd love to do more in the future.
28. My friends who listened to me ramble about my characters :]]
29. Finish up Chapter 6 of TMHFIM!
30. Oughg more TMHFIM and maybe a New Vegas fic or prequel that covers Celeste? Those would be fun...

With the dances posted this time, I really want you to watch.. Toki wo Koe Sora wo Koe!
I danced in in the intro and interlude, with Sayashi-san and Fukumura-san, I hope that the next girl who learns it, will really, really watch it😂🫶🏻
Even when you bend your knees a bit to lower your center of gravity, And the parts like, Meeting you in this world.. I'm very conscious of having a flat back
Don't arch or bend your back, The posture is of a flat back..
Its kinda! That posture isn't good to do all the time, I looked it up and found a case on it! lol
Its often used in dance, a flat back
I wonder if being conscious of it is the secret to looking beautiful..🫣🫣
Since we're barefoot in the MV..
I was more conscious of my feet😌🤍
With the toes, moreso feeling the ground with your big toe, and the compass-like movement in the outro? It looks very beautiful to draw the circle
Since I haven't properly learned ballet, Its my..image of it but,
When the big toe touches the ground, I think its beautiful as the knees face forward✍🏻
Turning your foot so all of your toes are on the ground, Do your knees turn outward? Do you understand? Did you try it now?
lol
I like thinking about beautiful things like that😌🤍
For those that are into ballet and jazz, you may say its too basic and not something you think about!?
Today, Please definite watch in particular,

🏎️💨 THE FORMULA 1 TAG GAME! 🏎️💨
thanks for the tag @vinvantae & thank you to @avida-heidia-5 for making it!
tagging (ignore it if you already did it): @vetteltea @ricc3rodeo @silverstonesainz @strawberrysainz @ofsaintandsinner @monzabee @lxclerc @a-distantdreamer @schuvries @thebearchives @formulaforza
1. who or what got you into F1?
first it was my dad who used to watch it when i was around 7-9, but then he stopped and i did too, i only followed a few ppl on social media to kinda keep up, and then my cousin started watching DTS two years ago and she talked about it to me and it made me wanna watch f1 again and my obsession came back even stronger.
2. who was the very first F1 driver you supported? do you support them now? have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?
as a kid i supported sebastian and jenson, and tbh they are still amongst my top favourites. when i started watching f1 again two years ago, i first supported george and charles. charles is still one of my all time favourites, and i still support george just i guess not as much as back then.
3. who’s your current favourite F1 driver?
i can't choose just one, really. right now it's charles, oscar and danny, i think. why does it actually feel a bit wrong to only say three lol
rest under the cut!
4. is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? what made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?
multiple. i love max & daniel, charles & carlos (even their name combined is chaos, what can it be if not fun?), also carlos & lando. i think these pairings work(ed) really well in many aspects. oh and kimi & seb!
5. do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?
well, my dad's been a jenson fan back in the day, now he's supporting lewis and fernando. my cousin is a big ferrari and charles fan!
6. do you have any favourite races? are there any that stand out to you the most?
singapore 23, and also monza 19, monza 20, monza 21. you just gotta love those. and australia 23 bc it was pure chaos lmao
7. do you have a favourite circuit? can be from the past or from the current calendar.
tbh i don't think i have just one fave. i have several that i like a bit more than others, like monaco, monza, baku, but i guess none exceptionally.
8. have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like.
nope, never. too broke for that sadly, coming from a broke ass country... i will hopefully attend the hungarian gp though as a volunteer this year!
9. have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?
again, never. (heartbreaking.) hopefully that will change at the prev mentioned hungarian gp this year!
10. do you have a favourite F1 car? if so, what is it?
again, i don't have a favourite, but there are many i like. for example, i liked the red bull fan designed livery in miami 23, and the red and white ferrari livery in las vegas 23.
11. do you have a favourite one win wonder?
pierre and george (and kubica lol gotta love the guy). i literally cried my eyes out when george won in 2022.
12. do you have any favourite quotes from the F1 world? this can either be inspirational or hilarious.
i have so many, serious and funny ones too (mainly funny though). but, if i have to choose, for funny i have to go with "nothing just an inchident on the race" or "what am i now? heavily depressed", and for serious, i will go with my top 3, which are "being second is to be the first of the ones who lose" & "to achieve anything, you must be prepared to dabble on the boundary of disaster" & "you must always strive to be the best, but you must never believe that you are."
but i also gotta mention "one week they love me, one week they hate me, both weeks i get paid" and "i've got balls but none of them are crystal" bc seb is just too funny and i love the guy too much.
and another worthy mention is "he won in spa, he wins in monza" bc i always get goosebumps when i hear it or even think about it.

Albums That I Listened to in January 2024
Last month, I made the first of what I plan to be a series of twelve posts where I share what albums I listened to in the month before then and what I thought about them.
Here are the twelve albums that I listened to this month:
Titanic Rising - Weyes Blood (2019)
When We Were That What Wept for the Sea - Colin Stetson (2023)
3D Country - Geese (2023)
Middle Cyclone - Neko Case (2009)
In Colour - Jamie xx (2015)
Atlanta Millionaires Club - Faye Webster (2019)
Color Me Country - Linda Martell (1970)
Madison - Sloppy Jane (2021)
Marquee Moon - Television (1977)
Heaven or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins (1990)
Fantasies - Metric (2009)
In My Own Time - Karen Dalton (1971)
Here's how I'd rank these albums:
Madison - I decided to give this album a listen purely out of curiosity because of how fascinated I was by the story behind how it got made. For those of you who are unaware, songwriter Haley Dahl and her band Sloppy Jane recorded this album in the Lost World Caverns in West Virginia over the course of two weeks, and for an album that was recorded in a literal cave, it's excellent. The orchestral, art pop compositions are absolutely beautiful, and Haley is a great lyricist whose ability to convey certain emotions and experiences with such visceral imagery and usage of symbolism throughout multiple tracks is something I admire and respect. Going into this album knowing that it was recorded in a cave adds to the atmosphere of the album, too. While listening, I couldn't help but imagine Haley and company playing these songs in a dark cavern in the middle of the night. I could go on about this album and how much I love it for pages, but I these posts are already kind of long as it stands, and I don't want it to be any longer. Definitely give it a listen, especially if you're as big of a Kate Bush fan as I am, because this has her influence all over it. 10/10
2. Middle Cyclone - Ever since I discovered her music last year before I started this personal challenge, Neko Case has quickly become one of my favorite artists and this album only further demonstrates to me why I've come to love her work so much. The way she blends together indie rock and country scratches an itch for me; and much like in her album preceding this one, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, Middle Cyclone demonstrates Neko's incredible lyricism, particularly her ability to convey emotional rawness and human vulnerability in such a straightforward, yet eloquently profound way. Given that this is also what I would consider Neko Case's most accessible album, I would highly recommend anyone who hasn't already listened to her work to check this album out - especially if you're a fan of artists like Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, or Adrienne Lenker who I think all owe a part of their sound and success to her. 8/10
3. In My Own Time - Karen Dalton is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated artists of the 60s and 70s and deserves more recognition than what she gets. Only the second album she ever released in her lifetime, there's something especially pleasant about her different covers of these songs (Yes, this is a covers album - Karen didn't really write or record original material). It makes me feel like I am sitting in a living room in a house on the countryside watching the snow fall in the winter or the leave rustling in the breeze in the summer. Not to mention that Karen has a beautiful alto voice. I actually like some of these covers better than their original versions. If you're looking for late sixties/early seventies folk music to listen to, I would recommend checking this album out. 9/10
4. Fantasies - Metric is a band that has been on my radar for a while now, but for some reason, I haven't gone out of my way to listen to any of their albums in full until now. All of the tracks go pretty hard, and I really like Emily Haines' voice. My favorite band Paramore cited Metric as an influence for their most recent album This Is Why, and I can definitely see where they were inspired. If any of you like Paramore or Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I would definitely give this album a listen. 7/10
5. Titanic Rising - This album sounds like walking through an antique store that is faintly playing old obscure 80s music on its loudspeakers as you gaze over the various items decorating each "room" in the store, the scent of vintage goods and old wood wafting through the air. Weyes Blood's voice reminds me of a cross between Eurhythmics' Annie Lennox and Enya, and the instrumentation and production on this album are stunningly beautiful. I was worried going into this album that I wouldn't be able to get into it because the tracks are all on the slower side in terms of tempo, but I actually found myself liking this one a lot. 9/10
6. Color Me Country - Linda Martell is an important figure in country music history who, despite her significance and the barriers she helped break down for black artists in the genre, has been oft forgotten. The first black artist in history to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, she only ever released one studio album - Color Me Country, in 1970. The album consists of pretty standard country music that was common at the time, with lyrical subject matter typical of the genre - but just because an album isn't sonically pushing the envelope, doesn't mean that it can't be good. I don't know what it was, but something lit up in me listening to this album and I really enjoyed what I heard. It makes me wonder what else she would have done had she continued her music career and released more material. Either way, this is a wonderful album from an incredible woman who deserves a lot more attention to her work. 7/10
7. 3D Country - This album sounds like a fusion between The Rolling Stones and Queen and I'm kind of living for it. It's genuinely good, fun, classic-styled rock music that doesn't take itself too seriously and has some really unique qualities to it. St. Elmo has been stuck in my head ever since I first heard it, and little embellishments like the harp on the title track really give this album its own personality. If you're somebody who primarily listens to older music who wants to try something newer or are just looking for more rock bands to get into, I recommend giving this album a try. 8/10
8. Atlanta Millionaires Club - Did you know that Faye Webster and I are the same age? I'm so used to artists either being older or younger than me that seeing someone around my age making music is both surprising and refreshing to me at the same time. This might be part of the reason why I clicked with this album a bit better than some of the other ones that I listened to this last month - Faye and I are in kind of the same place in life and due to us being the same age, and we probably share a similar perspective and experiences. It also helps that Faye is an adroit lyricist, and the chill indie rock instrumentation suits her voice well. The only issue that I have with this album is that the track Flowers near the end sounds jarring given how different it is from the rest of the album. 8/10
9. When We Were That What Wept for the Sea - This album gaslit me into thinking I have synesthesia. No really, I'm serious - I listened to this album while driving at night and I remember during the beginning of either Infliction or Passage I started smelling freshly brewed coffee. I didn't have any coffee in the car with me and I was not in an area where there would be any coffee brewing nearby. It was wild. And then after that it started smelling like the produce section of a grocery store in the beginning of the second half of the album. Anyways, this experimental ambient album by saxophonist Colin Stetson was really interesting to listen to and there are a lot of cool details scattered throughout each song. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but it was a pleasant surprise. It would probably pair well with the flute album Andre 3000 put out last year. 8/10
10. Marquee Moon - This is a classic album that I see getting a ton of praise, so I figured I would give it a listen. It's a pretty good album, although the tracks sound a little bit samey at times. The two songs that stand out to me are Venus and the title track. 7/10
11. In Colour - The only solo album (As of right now) from The xx member Jamie xx makes for a fairly pleasant listening experience. Jamie seems to be veering slightly away from the indie rock elements of The xx's work and more into electronic and pop, incorporating some hip-hop influences along the way. The featured appearances all fit in nicely, and the album overall sounds like the chill cousin of Daft Punk's Homework. 8/10
12. Heaven or Las Vegas - Please don't take me ranking this album last as some indication that I don't like it. I actually enjoyed it - albeit think that it's overrated. The number of people that I have seen praising this album and talking about how great it is made me think that it was going to be some amazing, mind-altering experience to listen to, but it was really a series of (Super short) shoegaze-y pop tracks that are just good. I don't really get why people hype up Cocteau Twins so much. You would think that they invented sliced bread with the way some people talk about them. 7/10
So far, I've really been enjoying most of the albums that I listen to. I have a few albums in mind that I plan to listen to in full in February, but again, if anyone wants to recommend me anything, you are always welcome to leave a comment. :)

20 Questions For Fic Writers
I was tagged by @a-different-equation, thank you for that!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
...520, as of right now.
2. What’s your total A03 word count?
Right now it's 916,952 words. If I can get somewhat out of this writing slump, I should be able to crack the 1mil next year.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Drei Fragezeichen/Three Investigators pretty much exclusively (506/520) with the occasional Tatort (Berlin) fic thrown in.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Don't tell him! (DDF, Peter/Bob)
Eine Studie in Flurfunk (Tatort Saarbrücken, Leo/Adam)
comfort (Kingsman, Eggsy/Merlin)
Truth or Dare (Criminal Minds, Derek/Spencer) (don't look at this one. it's bad.)
the answering to every prayer i prayed (DDF, PB&J)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yep! Love it! Because fic writing is also about community and i love talking to people about fic!
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
...probably 9mm, although some of the oneshots in the sometimes suffering is just suffering collection probably aren't much better (special mention for Kammerspiel, I guess.). If you go look at these, please mind the tags.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I write a lot of fluffy shit and I do love my happy endings, two fics that specifically come to mind are Vegas Wedding (Peter/Skinny wedding) and weil dieses timing immer irgendwas gegen uns hat (Cotta/Victor, who meet five times over the years but the timing is only right the sixth time and they're so so relieved they finally get to be together).
8. Do you get hate on your fic?
I got one weird comment a long time ago that boiled down to "trans!Cotta is unrealistic and not canon" (okay, chill?) and more recently (i think earlier this year or late last year) someone going "please block me so I don't have to see your fics anymore" (dude, just exclude me from the search???) but apart from that it's been quiet, although there do seem to be some people in the broader fandom that absolutely loathe me (or so I've been told xD).
9. Do you write smut?
*looks at the past two years' Kink January fills* *looks at the current Kink January fills I should be writing* ...sometimes? xD
10. Do you write crossovers?
Don't think I have yet. Although there is a poem in my drafts that I wrote for a Creative Writing seminar that parallels Lolita and Persephone, I guess that counts as a crossover in ao3 terms?
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Someone asked me a long time ago on ff.net if they could translate one of my johnlock fics but idk if they ever posted it. Also my little brother used to translate my johnlock fic into german for english practice xD
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Well, we started something last year, but I've never finished/published a co-written fic.
14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?
...you can't ask me that. I can't possibly answer that.
15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
...there are a lot of those. Let's all keep our fingers crossed I'll eventually finish the perfect part about it is: it's all that i've got because I'm actually still mad passionate about it.
16. What’s your writing strengths?
Dialogue, I like to think.
17. What’s your writing weaknesses?
Long fic, no discussion. I'm decent at oneshots and short-ish multi-chaps, but real actual long fic is a battle.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Sure! Love it! Currently it's mostly the occasional french phrase for Victor, but there is abandoned Inglourious Basterds fic on my hard drive where the dialogue switched between English, German, and French.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter.
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
It's still out of hell, I'm pretty sure. Necessary Tragedies is also up there tho.
Tagging (no pressure tho): @crazy-walls, @peppsta, @alintheshitposter, @manahiel, @lalalenii & @pointwhitmark.
#i was tagged#thanks again!#this was fun!#kaj rambles#my stories#seriously tho. don't go look at the criminal minds fic. you can read the kingsman fic although i'd advise against it.#also we all know why 'don't tell him!' is my most kudos'd fic don't we 🙃

1, 6, 9 and 28 owo
Thank you for the ask I had a ton of fun filling this out!
1. Who was your first ever OC? Do you still “use” them? How have they evolved over time?
OH BOY so this is gonna be a long one my first ever OC is my Skyrim Dragonborn/Listener OC I made in 2013, Kameo Septim and I still use her often she's everything to me but I don't post about her much but I do want to start posting about her more. She's gone through so many changes over the years I had to go digging through my Steam account and found one of my first screenshots of her while I was still trying to figure out steam and nexus mods circa 2013 back when I got my first laptop:
This is her now in her Listener gear and Dragonborn DLC gear 💕
I've been playing her on Xbox One for a handful of years now and she's had such a glow up I'm in love with how she looks on her Xbox save. She also has a Fallout iteration since 2014ish when I got Fallout: New Vegas and then again revamped her in 2016 when Fallout 4 came out. I've remade her Fallout lore so now she's a separate character from Skyrim Kameo and is her own character now being a synth created in the Dragonborn's image but I thought I'd mention her alongside main Kameo with a screenshot of her and an outfit design drawing I recently finished for her since it's part of her overall evolution as a character.
6. Do you have any OCs without stories? Will you ever create one for them?
I don't have many OCs without stories surprisingly! When I find a character I haven't delved in on, especially ones from childhood or years past, I usually immediately scoop them up and start brainstorming and make them more developed and at least some art to go with them. An OC that comes to mind that doesn't really have a story is Destry, my Outer Worlds character:
but I can see myself going back someday and making her more finished!
9. Favorite OC?
Oh GOD I love all of them so I don't have like an all time favorite I have more of a top 5 list which would be: 1. Kameo (Skyrim) 2. Sam (FC5) 3. Nash (Red Dead: Online) 4. Hoth (Cyberpunk: 2077) and 5. I think would be Archon (Elden Ring)
28. Favorite songs at the moment?
Some of my favorite songs at the moment have been: Sidelines - Phoebe Bridgers, Griftwood - Ghost, Queendom - AURORA, and literally anything STARSET all their songs are chef's kiss

For your end of year asks!! 😊💜💜
1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 11, 16, 18, 22!
Omg so many! I love it, thank you <3333
#1: Song of the year?
According to my Spotify Wrapped, it was Bramble by Martin Wave, which I must have had on repeat at one point while I was writing a certain unhinged archfey. Algorithms aside though, I think that the song that hit me the hardest and stuck with me the most is O Wow O Wow (How Wonderful She Is) by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It was written about his late friend Anita Lane and is just such a deeply touching song that makes me smile every time I hear it.
#3: Favourite musical group/artist you started listening to this year?:
I don't do nearly as many hallucinogenics as I used to, so I've been out of the loop as far as moody, existential prog rock goes for quite a few years, but I recently stumbled upon an Aussie band called We Lost The Sea and they're blowing my fucking mind. There might be a mushroom adventure in my near future if I can vibe with this during.
#4: Movie of the year?:
I didn't watch many movies this year, but I absolutely simped hard for Deadpool & Wolverine. It was everything I wanted it to be.
#7: Favourite actor of the year?:
Neil Newbon! I got to meet him at a con earlier this year and he's just a lovely human being. He's clearly incredibly disciplined and cares a lot about his work, and he's very good at what he does. He also has to deal with a really fucking weird and overly parasocial fanbase and I don't know how he does it, but good for him.
#9: Best month for you this year?:
Ooooh tough call. I feel like it was overall a really good year for me with lots of personal growth and healing and big moves. I'd say probably June or July. I came out as non-binary/genderfluid to my husband and my closest friends in June and since then it's sort of been this continuous momentum of not giving a fuck about how people perceive me and just doing what's good and right for me while enjoying life as best I can. Do no harm: take no shit, ya know?
#11: Something you want to do again next year?:
Get more tattoos. I got two this year after getting my first one yeaaaars ago, and I just adore them. I love the entire experience of being tattooed, and there are so many things I want etched into my skin now. Hopefully after Christmas if I've got some $ to spare going into the new year.
#16: Post a picture from the beginning of this year:
My hair was so LONNNNNG I FORGOT HOW LONG IT WAS 😱
#18: A memorable meal this year?:
We went to Gordon Ramsay Steak in Vegas and it was absolutely the most decadent, expensive meal I've ever eaten and likely ever will eat in my life. Will never pay that much for dinner again out of principle, buuuut at least I can say I've done it.
#22: Favourite place you visited this year?:
We didn't travel much this year (we haven't travelled much at all since Covid unfortunately), but we did go to Vegas for our belated honeymoon (we were originally planning to elope in Vegas, but then Covid happened) and we had a lovely time. I love that city, but 7 nights as a neurodivergent person extremely prone to overstimulation was a lot. I kept it as tame and chill as I could and I was still ready to chew my own leg off by the end, but it was so worth it.

20 questions for fic writers
Thanks for the tag @supermarine-silvally! Sorry for taking so long on this!
How many works do you have on ao3?
I have an impressive 81 works.
2. What's your total ao3 word count?
*checks A03* Holy Banana Nut Muffins...a whopping 664,798 words. That's impressive, Liz! Thanks, Liz!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
So, I currently write mainly for the Guy Ritchie universe? But I focus on 'The Gentlemen' but that doesn't mean some characters from any of his other works don't creep in.
I write also for 'Control', it's my favorite video game. Everyone should play it.
Sometimes, depending, I do write the occasional Stranger Things fic.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Trouble (The Man From U.N.C.L.E): 240 Down, But Not Out (The Man From U.N.C.L.E): 189 Little Girl/Old Man (Stranger Things): 151 Mess (The Gentlemen): 125 Til Death Do Us Part (Stranger Things): 110
5. Do you respond to comments?
Sometimes. It depends on what is said. I like to let comments/reviews be, but every so often they'll say something or ask a question and I feel compelled to answer.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Ooff. Umm...The Imposter? Maybe? I don't know. I like to make sure all of my work has happy endings for the most part.
7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
'The Unfortunate Reunion'. All the shit went sideways, people died, and a pregnancy was lost. But the bad guys were killed, and there was peace and love...
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. I do. I guess I write all kinds of smut? Idk, it's smut! What more do you want? lol.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Sometimes? But not really. I like to keep all my dollhouses separated.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yes! A long, long time ago...and it was translated into Spanish, too!!
12. What's the longest you've spent working on one fic? And the shortest?
I guess my ongoing one, Bark Like A God. I'm going on two years with it and I've still got a long ways to go.
My shortest? I'm not sure. I do write a lot of one shot/stand alones. But if you are talking about something with multiple chapters, probably 'The Unfortunate Reunion', or "...And Baby Makes 3', I wrote them both in two months.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope.
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
I prefer to write OC's, and like to pair them with characters.
BUTTTTTT...I am a sucker for Jesse Faden/Dr. Casper Darling (Control) and you can fucking fight me on that one!
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
There is this one fic, "Did You Hear About Jackie?', it's a Castle Rock fic, I've gotten 3 chapters in and then dropped it for my current fic spiral of 'The Gentlemen'. I'd love to get back to it and finish but I doubt it. It's been like, 3 years.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm not sure. Character development? Dialogue?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Run-on sentences and paragraphs. Like...I go full blown Stephen King with describing things sometimes.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I wish that I knew other languages so I could very openly do that. I do use Google Translate, or if I happen to know someone who speaks the particular language, I'd ask them.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Okay, hear me out...CSI: Vegas. I was in middle school. Greg Sanders/OC. The fics I still have on my A03 & FF.Net accounts. They're horrible written. Lol.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Y'know what, I am so proud of 'New Daddy', it's a smut that I literally spent a whole year writing. Nobody really paid it any mind, but I don't care. I put so much time and energy into it. I fucking love it.
I guess I'll ask @rayslittlekitten @kesskirata @autumnleaves1991-blog @spacegoldilocks

Orix Theater
Evening
The 2 days of Osaka performances were fun today too!
Thank you very much for your support🤍 Thank you very much for being packed in up to the 3rd floor🤍 Lots of cheering..🤍
With Osaka,
The ending was also good~~ lol
Since my outfit has pants, I bent backwards in a fall with all my might🙌🏻🙌🏻
Since everyone in Morning fell over, I wonder how each of the falls went, I'm looking forward to looking at it on video🙌🏻🙌🏻 lol
With this Osaka,
In particular, Orix Theater! They have helped us a lot up until now!
With HelloCon its always Orix Theater!
The seating in the dressings rooms as well, For the past few years I've sat at the seat right at the entrance, Also when I first joined I was on the 3rd floor dressing room, And we would also do stretches with everyone in the lobby, While thinking, I'm supperrrrr sleepy..←
With alllllll the members there, The juniors would line up from the entrance, And we would greet each other like it was a greeting campaign
Speaking of it we've visited so much but,
I've never been down to the basement, What kind of space would I find if I went down the stairs, I left with it remaining a mystery🤔🤔
But I have new memories again from today,
The scenery of todays live, the cheers,
When we were rehearsing in the morning, The scenery of the members watching from the audience, They've become memories🌈✨
Today was also fun!
Thank you very much for your support!
I'm going to sleep a lot!
A typhoon is approaching, Everyone in Tohoku in particular, Please take care tomorrow
Some of my plans also got cancelled..🌀🍃
In any case I hope you stay safe!

Library Triage!
I have a reading triage on deck, but first I gotta plow through my actual mother-of-god-how-do-they-multiply-so-fast library checkouts first to try and make sense of them all (27!! with like. at least 10 active requests and/or books I'm gonna pull off the shelf tomorrow)
DVDs I Checked Out For Circ Numbers And/Or Have Watched And Can Return Any Time Now: 6 (CSI Vegas; Hours; Anywhere But Here; Little Women PBS version; La Brea S2; Doctor Who S10 -- i assure you this last one was pure circ numbers)
Books Ready to Return: 2 (Miss Nelson is Missing - checked out purely by chance for funsies and circ numbers when I saw it; The Runaway's Diary graphic novel)
Books I Have Read But Am Keeping 'Til I Write Reviews: 2 (The Last Bookseller; Home Before Dark)
CDs Out: 2 (one Maddie & Tae as a fun option to have in the car; one Loreena McKennitt, although honestly that one is probably ready to go back; Lost Souls didn't grab me)
---------
Other DVDs Out: 10 (!!) (listen I am Going Hard on my vow to single-handedly prove physical media still has value to patrons and the library should not consider eliminating it. there has been no actual discussion of this but I see the DVD section shrinking, I see it!!)
Marley & Me: this WAS just for circ numbers but now I'm looking at it like "oh yeah this movie is amazing actually" and I've kinda been on an Owen Wilson kick this year, so maybe I should actually watch it first.
2-4. Scott & Bailey, S3-5: these were ALSO just for circ numbers but then I remembered I actually do like this show and it's weird I never got past S2*...so I've watched S3 and now I kind of want to finish, and also want to keep them all out so they can be returned and easily reshelved together. (*i also realized one episode into S3 that I may not have actually gotten past 2x03? but oh well no looking back; I hated those 3 episodes so SURGING FORWARD)
5. Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor: I! Will! Watch! It! (ONE of these times it's gotta actually go through...)
6. Doctor Who: Series 11 (Thirteen my beloved!! What if...what IF I wanted to randomly start)
7. Doctor Who: The Animation Collection: "WHAT U MEAN GEORGIA TENNANT VOICED A (non-Jenny) COMPANION CHARACTER IN ONE OF THESE FEATURING TEN I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW EXISTED." and I thought I might revisit Infinite Quest while I'm at it, though I have thus far done neither.
8. Good Omens: when you finish S2 and are immediately like "I need the option to revisit season 1 right now, in a way where you can easily skip around to favorite parts in the episodes in VLC instead of struggling through the laggy Amazon Prime interface," but now it's been over a month and you haven't actually opened the case. but you still might. (I should probably throw in the towel huh)
9. Around the World in 80 Days: oh yeah. forgot I started this. (Suranne Jones and the rest of the lady police gang are very distracting ok)
10. Broadchurch, S3: originally for circ numbers and then I remembered I actually never got around to this season (but am still excited to! eventually!)
-------
Other Books Out: 5
1. Cabin Tripping: mostly a coffee table book, beautiful photos based on the Instagram of the same name with a bit of text. I wanted to look through it properly and use it to get myself in the mood for the RV / road trip books I was considering reading, but I think those have receded into the temporary background so I should probably send this back as well. temporarily.
2. Gilmore Girls: The Official Cookbook: have I watched more than 3 full episodes of this show in my life? still no. but since dollsome-does-tumblr's tumblr has given me almost all the information I could possibly need about this show, I feel like I know it and ever since I randomly saw this on the library shelf, I have been obsessed with the entire vibe and aesthetic of this oversized book and its mouthwatering photos and can't stop paging through it. (have I tried making any of the recipes? also definitely no) (would that I had a personal chef or at least a talented local friend!)
3. The Little Book of Hygge: this is at least the third hygge book I have checked out on a whim but can't actually read because I just get too overwhelmed by how cute and cozy the mere idea is. But that won't stop me clinging to it with a death grip 'til my renewals run out.
4. Good as Gold - Candace Buford: oh finally an actual novel i might actually read (if I don't get distracted by my GIANT INCOMING STACK, considering I checked this out a full month ago). I am actually very excited by the prospect of this YA novel about searching for a lost treasure of local legend (to pay for college). I don't honestly know why I haven't yet!
5. Lessons From Tara: Life Advice From the World's Most Brilliant Dog - David Rosenfelt: A Goodreads friend read this, which reminded me how much I loved Dogtripping and wanted to read more stories about his big fluffy dogs. Which led me to learn there is only one copy of this 2015 release left at my library so whoops, gotta show interest (and ideally even read it?) before it disappears.
#library triage#i feel like i actually say some vaguely interesting things in this one (or at least have some interesting checkouts)#things I have made progress on watching today: nothing on dvd that's for sure!#(though in my defense. it's so stupid hot we've had to turn the AC on again and window units are So Loud and in the same room as the tv

idk how to even look at my "profile" anymore
I lied when i said i would post more art here. I didnt really, and i havent, really. I still do prints, I still do music. I sometimes do videos. I post on instagram to the two people who love me and see them in person first. https://www.instagram.com/d722220
instead i will throw 200 words you.
I have decided to listen thru all of Prince's discography. I've fallen in love with every single one so far (For You, Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day) EXCEPT for Parade. still revisiting but its not grabbing like the others did. I did not like Dirty Mind at first. I also didnt care for Around the World in a Day, but both i have come full circle on. Particularly ATWIAD. I am now in love with them and Do Me, Baby is a perfect song. It's funny to think (and read) that people weren't crazy at ATWIAD when it came out and last 3 songs are an incredible run (Pop Life, The Ladder, Temptation). It is also over started how Purple Rain is a 10/10 perfect album but let me be the 249,406 person to tell you that it's a perfect album. I was moved to tears on the first listen. Very few albums have done that (Kate Bush Hounds of Love being an example duh). Decided to take on this task on a whim and I'm so in love.
I had also decided to revisit and continue listening through Alan Vega's discography. Once again, 10 years ago when i first heard Just a Million Dreams i HATED IT. a lot. its so vastly different from anything Suicide related, and though you could say the same for the first few Vega solo albums, something about JAMD irked me. I even liked Saturn Drive more. I revisited it last week and only days later drove to the record shop to buy it, I NEEDED IT. it's really fucked up he could start as protopunk protoindustrial w Suicide then do rockabilly (S/T - collision Drive) dance pop and dance rock, then go totally avant garde(?) once you hit Deuce Avenue. it's still dance oriented but not in the same way Saturn Drive and JAMD are.
I cannot lie I love dance music. I also picked up Sheila E. " The Glamourous Life" and Nik Kershaw "Human Racing". I love dance music. The last haul was Toni Braxton first album (s/t ?) and The Time s/t.
Other than that I've slowly been working my way through Dean Blunt discography. (pattern?) I made it through Jill Scott Herring OST and Narcissist II but once I hit The Redeemer something in me knew I liked it but I couldnt articulate why. Still kinda can't tbh. after the 3rd listen it finally clicked and I "got it". The only thing I didn't care for up to this point is the last song Gass on Babyfather. I've only made it up to Walhalla. I'd always seen BLACK METAL be a topic of discussion any time his name is brought up but The Redeemer is the one I come back to the most. time will tell.
The funny thing is i live alone and have been for almost a year now and normally I would come home and throw 1000 words at my then roommate about what I'd been listening to and what I thought. Now that I can't do that maybe I'll bring it here. maybe I won't. maybe I'll delete this out of some sort of weird humility and temporary attempt at pretending to be elusive ?
I keep track of full albums I listen to on a monthly basis a la Topsters so maybe I'll start posting them here. Nobody will see this and I feel like posting them to twitter is a little to revealing. I've been kinda showing my ass lately.
how many words was that ?
